Ugyen Wangdi is a Senior Lecturer and program leader of Public Health Programs at the Faculty of Nursing and Public Health FNPH(). He graduated with Diploma in Nursing and Midwifery from FNPH, the then Royal Institute of Health Sciences (RIHS), Bhutan. Continuing his education, he obtained his Bachelor of Science in Nursing and Masters Degree in Public Health (MPH) from LaTrobe University, Australia. Ugyen joined the faculty in the year 2003 after serving in various capacities at Jigme Dorji Wangchuk National Referral Hospital (JDWNRH). He taught subjects related to general nursing prior to his master’s degree. From 2008, he has been teaching public health related subjects (health promotion, community health, health education and communication). His special interests are in the areas of lifestyle and behavioral modification. Currently, he also serves as the games club coordinator and is a member of the faculty management team. Furthermore, Ugyen is also the recipient of Royal Civil Service Award (Silver) for his selfless and dedicated service to the Country, King, and the People.
He has a paper published in peer reviewed journal and continues to actively participate in various research activities.
