Tshering Yangzom has an Honours degree in Nursing from Raj Kumari Amrit Kaur College of Nursing, India and Masters in Nursing Science from La Trobe University, Australia. She joined the faculty since 2005 and has taught nursing subjects (Fundamentals of nursing, Adult nursing, Global trends in nursing), and nursing education.
She served as program coordinator for the Health Assistant, In-service BSc Nursing and Midwifery and BSc Nurse Anesthesia courses from 2012-2016. She has actively participated in the development of BSc Nursing and Midwifery curriculum and Nursing practical manual.
She successfully mentored a student in her master’s research project “Assessing the Role of Nurses in Primary Care for the Future Improvement and Expansion of Nursing Education and Practice in Bhutan” from Yale University in 2015.
Her area of interest is in Nursing education and improving the quality and standard of nursing education. She has also participated in conducting research in Burns (2012) and Palliative Care (2017).
She is also the staff secretary of the faculty since 2013. She is currently looking after Certificate in Dialysis Nursing program.
